A recent update to UNL Events makes it even easier to pull events into your county’s calendar.

With the recent update, events shared from other calendars will include the line “This event originated in…” when viewing a calendar.

You can still use subscriptions to pull in all of the events from another calendar into your county’s calendar. However, subscriptions will not pull in any events that did not originate on that calendar.

For instance, if the CASNR calendar is subscribed to the IANR calendar, subscribing your county’s calendar to CASNR will not add any IANR events to your county’s calendar. To add the IANR events, you’ll want to also subscribe to IANR’s calendar.

Individual events can also be added to your calendar using the ‘Search’ option. In the event manager, this is a red button with a magnifying glass icon next to the grey breadcrumbs of the page.

When you search for an event, you can add them to your calendar with the “Actions” dropdown. You can also select multiple events and add them to your calendar with the “Bulk Actions” dropdown under the search field. Events can also be filtered by type, such as ‘Seminar’ or ‘Colloquium’.

Pro-Tip:
When you search for events, you may see some past events in the results. Be sure to check the date before adding to your calendar!
