Connect Extension

First segment:
Connect Extension has a new sub-group on mental health and well-being that is now open to receive members! To join, visit https://connect.extension.org/g/mental-health-and-well-being and click “Join.” If you are not already a member of Connect Extension, you’ll be prompted to create a free account. If you are already a member and logged in, you can simply add this subgroup to the list of subgroups to which you belong.

The purpose of this subgroup is to highlight non-clinical, prevention-based work being done in the allied areas of mental health and well-being, facilitate the sharing of resources, inform members of upcoming events, and explore ways that Extension professionals can collaborate more effectively. For the purposes of this group we define mental health and well-being as including loneliness, chronic anxiety, depression, mindfulness, suicide, dementia, substance use disorders, recovery, and youth mental health. While we work with individuals to help them develop strategies for coping with life's challenges, we also work to create environments and structures that ensure social and emotional well-being.

Once you join, check in regularly to view new posts to the subgroup and actively participate. As a member of this subgroup you may announce events, share resources, submit blog posts, make comments, and ask questions.

Additional information on national events related to mental health and well-being will be released through this subgroup later this year.
