Extension Summer Intern Applications Due

It is time again to take applications for Extension’s undergraduate/graduate student intern program. This summer, interns will be placed in county or regional offices with Extension Educators providing the supervision and training. These intern positions will be twelve-week salaried positions. Interns can receive credit hours through their home department but will use the county office as their field experience site.

The goal of this program is to enlarge the pool of prospective Extension professionals in Nebraska and increase the work force diversity of the organization. Please encourage anyone you think might be interested in being an intern to submit an application. Applications are due by November 1.

We are looking for a diverse experience for these students and would encourage Extension Educators to apply to supervise an intern. An Intern Mentor promotional flyer, list of responsibilities and the Mentor application along with the intern application is available at http://go.unl.edu/u39.
