Spread the Word - Severe Weather Awareness

Be prepared
Be prepared

Nationwide, March is designated as Severe Weather Awareness Month. While we know weather risks can occur in any month, March really kicks off the severe weather season across the nation. It is an excellent time to promote messages on preparedness and severe weather safety.

March 25-29, 2024, is also designated as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Nebraska. Although not yet announced, the statewide tornado drill usually takes place on Wednesday during Severe Weather Awareness Week - March 27, 2024.
Review your office/unit Emergency Action Plans and hold a drill (fire, tornado, active threat). Will you be ready to shelter-in-place or evacuate without hesitation in an emergency? Build your muscle memory today by practicing your emergency plans.
