I am pleased to be back working for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources as director of integrated technologies for the University of Nebraska Extension and as coordinator of extended education for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. I believe the two positions complement one another as efforts are made to engage and reach new audiences through the use of Internet-based technologies and online education.
Each day I am reminded of how quickly the technology landscape and the expectations of our audiences change. As such, it's important we work together to be innovative, responsive and committed to working with people in the formats and places of their choosing. I look forward to working with you to ensure this happens.
An upcoming learning event I believe could be helpful to you is being presented by Jane Hart, founder of the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies (http://c4lpt.co.uk/). Jane will be a keynote speaker at the national eXtension Conference in Sacramento, CA in March 2014. On Tuesday, January 21 at 2 p.m. EST, she will be presenting a virtual conference entitled: Workplace Learning Revolution: How the Internet is Changing the Way we Learn at Work.
