Reserve Presentation Space in the Nebraska Agriculture Experience at the State Fair

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) and the University of Nebraska would like to invite your organization to participate in the new Nebraska Agriculture Experience at the 2014 Nebraska State Fair.

As you are all aware by now, the new Nebraska Building has been built on the State Fairgrounds. Plans have been made, messaging is being crafted and the brand new, interactive space will be ready for fair guests this year!

You’ll have a number of ways to interact with guests in this new exhibit space, as highlighted below.

KITCHEN & PRESENTATION STAGE

If you are looking to do a cooking demonstration, the presentation stage / prep kitchen is for you. This presentation kitchen is ground level and features a kitchen space, along with sampling table. Presenters will have an audio system available to them, along with video cameras connected to monitors that will allow them to show the cooking process to the audience – doing away with our old duct taped mirrors! The prep area will be equipped with everything you need including a fridge, freezer, hand washing sinks and prep sinks, a convection oven and microwave.

SECONDARY PRESENTATION AREA

If you want to do a radio program or give a demonstration or presentation that does not require the kitchen, this presentation area is for you. This area will feature a slightly raised floor and basic audio system.

CONVERSATION PIT

Located in the area marked “Title Splash” on the map (http://www.nda.nebraska.gov/state_fair/map.jpg), the Conversation Pit is where producers and organizations alike can have one-on-one time with the public. The area will feature a small sound system along with a screen and computer hook up so presenters could feature their farm or ranching operation in video or pictures while discussing it with fairgoers. This area will provide fair goers with the perfect opportunity to “meet a farmer / rancher”.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

To reserve time on the main kitchen/presentation stage, the secondary presentation area or the conversation pit, I ask that you please contact me at (402) 471-6856 or email christin.kamm@nebraska.govno later than June 30th (after June 30th, I cannot guarantee that your information will be listed in the State Fair gate book).

All time slots are available on a first come, first served basis.
