Wildlife Damage Management for Nebraska Master Gardeners

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Cornell University, and the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management (ICWDM.org) have produced a new book on the control of wildlife species in Nebraska. The spiral bound book contains 216 letter-sized pages and 32 modules. The first 12 modules detail general wildlife management principles, safety, damage ID tips, animal handling, dispatch, disposal, and suggestions on when you should hire a professional. The remainder of the book covers the biology, damage, and control techniques suitable for management of 20 common species in Nebraska, including, Canada geese, pigeons, house sparrows, starlings, bats, beavers, deer, raccoons, moles, snakes, skunks, squirrels, and others.

Though designed for Master Gardeners, the information is suitable for non-professionals looking to find research-based information on wildlife damage management.
