Climate Resilient Agriculture: Tools and Resources for Agricultural Decisions

“As a part of the North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Professional Development Program (NCR-SARE), we are hosting a single day workshop on November 19 at Phelps County Ag Center on Climate Resilient Agriculture: Tools and Resources for Agricultural Decisions.

This workshop will showcase very useful research based climate tools and resources to help producers make short and long-term agriculture decisions. We have great speaker line-up from the School of Natural Resources Applied Climate Science faculty group, Dept. of Agronomy and Horticulture, National Drought Mitigation Center, and High Plains Regional Climate Center. In addition to that, panel discussion will highlight farmers’ experiences of weather and climate extremes and how did they manage.

This is an excellent professional development opportunity for UNL Extension Faculty to learn about what resources are available and how those could be utilized to help producers make both short term and long term agricultural decisions.

Educator travel expenses will be covered if you are interested in attending this workshop.

Please email Tapan Pathak at tpathak2@unl.edu or Tyler Williams at tyler.williams@unl.edu to register for this FREE professional development opportunity.

Please share this attached flyer with your colleagues. “
