As many of you know, USDA replaced My Pyramid with MyPlate. Within days of the announcement Alice Henneman developed web and social media material to make Nebraska a leader in providing educational materials. Her efforts quickly made Choose MyPlate number one on Google when searching for myplate powerpoint. On July 19, Alice Henneman led a national eXtension webinar, 'MyPlate: Behind-the-Scenes Story'. The webinar, for the national eXtension Families, Food, and Fitness Team, was a behind the scenes story of how Alice developed the MyPlate PowerPoint, social media (Facebook, Twitter and blogs), and how others could implement their own MyPlate programs.
