Rural Opportunities Fair: Connecting Communities and Students

Rural Futures Conference
Rural Futures Conference

Wednesday, October 21 - During the opening day of the 2015 Conference, the Rural Futures Institute will host the Rural Opportunities Fair on UNL's East Campus.

The Rural Opportunities Fair is the first of its kind, and more than a career fair. This event offers community representatives from throughout Nebraska and neighboring states the chance to engage students interested in establishing their futures in a rural place.

Communities are invited to be a part of the beginning of a new relationship between communities and university students by sharing all of the unique opportunities that your community has to offer.

Representing your community at the Rural Opportunities Fair will allow you to:
• Recruit talented students who are interested in internships, starting a career, or building new businesses within your community.
• Open avenues to connect with students on an ongoing basis.
• Learn about what students are looking for and how to market your community to these young professionals who are interested in rural living.

How to Engage
To learn more, join the informational webinar on Wednesday, May 20, from 2-3 p.m. (CST). Specific details about the event will be provided, followed by a question and answer session.
