Calendar of Events – August and September

Archived Story: This article is part of our newsletter archives. It has been preserved for reference, but the information may no longer be current.

Look here for all the important dates for August and September. It is a great list of receptions, speakers, events, and (of course) facutly meetings.

A full calendar has been distributed by email and will be posted to the Law Faculty Wiki page: http://lawfacwiki.unl.edu/ (There is a story in this Newsletter about the Wiki if you want to learn more.)

We will talk about this more at the faculty meeting, but I wanted to mention two speaker series this year. First, we have invited five speakers from Big 10 law schools to give faculty colloquia this year. Second, we are planning a series of informal talks by Nebraska law faculty for students and faculty, which we hope will be a chance for the Law College community to gather and hear about our scholarship in a relaxed setting. These "S.T.I.R." talks (Share. Think. Inspire. Relax.) are modeled on the TED talks (http://www.ted.com) and will last no more than 15 minutes, followed by food and refreshments. I hope you will support these opportunities to bring the faculty community together.
