von der Dunk also recently participated as a panelist during the UNIDIR Space Security Conference 2013. The conference, "Enhancing Confidence, Ensuring Space Stability," focused on the potential negative impacts of emerging security threats on all types of outer space activities. von der Dunk spoke on a panel dealing with emerging threats to space security, including the challenges for human space activities. http://swfound.org/events/2013/unidir-space-security-conference-2013/

On May 2 Lincoln Journal Star reporter, Corey Matteson, covered the Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications LL.M. program, discussed progress in the manned spaceflight industry, and highlighted the 7th Annual Space and Cyber Law Lincoln Conference. Matteson noted that von der Dunk was one of three panelists who discussed the impact of the commercial space industry and went on to emphasize the growth of the program.
