The University of Nebraska – Lincoln is not just a great place to learn, it is also a great source for something to do on the weekend (or on a random weeknight or day). If you are a fan of Broadway shows, comedy, the ballet or other fine arts, check out the line up of shows being performed at the University’s Lied Center for Performing Arts. (http://www.liedcenter.org) Free tickets and reduced rates are available for students to most shows and this year’s line up includes Broadway hits Chicago and Green Day’s American Idiot, performances by the Joffrey Ballet and improv comedy show “Who’s Live Anyway” featuring cast members from television's “Who’s Line Is It Anyway.” Get your tickets to see the volleyball team compete for another Big 10 Championship or see Tim Miles in action as the new men’s basketball coach! Tickets to sporting events are available to students at a reduced rate and can be purchased through http://www.huskers.com.For other “on campus” entertainment options check out the Sheldon Museum of Art (http://www.sheldonartmuseum.org) or Morrill Hall and the Mueller Planetarium (http://museum.unl.edu/index.html).
