Welcome to Nebraska Law! The Career Services Office is excited to welcome you. We look forward to working with you as you begin this new journey. One of the best things about Nebraska Law is our relatively small size, which allows us to get to know you and your goals. Heather and I are here to assist you as you explore and make decisions about your potential career paths. Both during law school and following graduation there will be many choices to make. Should I take the clerkship with the private firm or the unpaid non-profit? Is this suit appropriate for my interview? Do I really want to be a prosecutor? What is the appropriate manner to address the Chief Justice? How do I make connections in Denver? Should this thank you letter be typed or handwritten? Would an externship with a judge be a better way to build my resume and gain experience?

Whether it is a big question or a small one, we are here to help. Our job is to assist you in reaching your goals. We accomplish this through educational programming, employer outreach and most importantly, one-on-one counseling to help you make strategic choices and market yourself effectively. We have a great line-up of programs to kick off the school year and we look forward to meeting you all next Friday to tell you more about our office. Please read on to learn a little bit more about what you can expect during your first semester.
