Mini Golf on the Schmid Biblio Links
Thank you everyone who played mini-golf at Mel Shinn Day. Despite the after lunch rush and resulting long waits for tee times, it looked like everyone had great fun. We don’t keep an official tally, but it seemed as though we had record numbers of golfers on the links. We thank you all for your patience and good cheer, even on some of the toughest holes.

Bragging rights on the course this year belong to “Titus,” who turned in a score card that tallied up to 31, only 4 over par. Congratulations! This was accomplished without a single hole in one, three birdies, one bogey and two doubles. Titus not only can put, but apparently knows how to keep his cool.

On the plus side, one score card displayed a remarkable commitment to honesty, not to mention questionable mini golf skills. The card was submitted by the foursome of "Adam, Brad, Jerry and Jacob" and, as near as we can tell, set new course records. One of the foursome had a high score of 77, a round that included two pars and two fifteens! But two others in his foursome had sixteens on hole number six, high scores for any single hole all day. Bragging rights? Clearly, the foursome was scrupulously honest with rounds of 49, 77, 67 and 42 on a single card. Most participants simply gave up keeping score when they hit double digits on a single hole. But this group braved on and never gave up. Congratulations for exceptional honesty and sportsmanship.
