The 2012-2013 University of Nebraska College of Law Lachs Space Law Moot Court team competition is open to all 2L, 3L, and LL.M. students. No research is required to try out and selection is based primarily on performance. The competition is based on a hypothetical space law dispute before the International Court of Justice.

In 2011 the Nebraska Law team won the "Best Brief" award at the spring competition and our 2012 team made semi-finals in the North American Rounds. Help Nebraska Law continue our successful participation in this competition!

Oral arguments are held in Washington D.C. in April. Winning briefs are published in the proceedings of the International Institute of Space Law.

Sign up to tryout by emailing your name, contact information, and a brief writing sample to elsbeth.magilton@unl.edu by October 9. A problem will be distributed for tryouts by October 11.

If you're interested in Space Law this is great way to learn more about the area while working toward your J.D. For more information about the competition and try-outs contact Elsbeth Magilton, elsbeth.magilton@unl.edu.
