Assistant Dean Candidate Presentations

The Search Committee for the new Assistant Dean of Students and Administration is pleased to announce three finalists for the position. Each of these finalists will visit campus this week and make a public presentation from 12:15-1:00 in Room 109. Please attend and fill out a feedback form afterwards. This is your opportunity to take part in the selection process for this important position.

The finalists are:

Marc Pearce (on campus Monday, Oct. 28)

Marc W. Pearce is a 1999 graduate of the UNL College of Law, and he has served as law clerk to the Honorable Warren K. Urbom, Senior United States District Court Judge, since 2000. Dr. Pearce earned a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Nebraska in 2008, and he has experience teaching at the College of Law and in the Department of Psychology. He is also currently chairing the American Psychological Association's Committee on Legal Issues, and he is an active member in the Robert Van Pelt American Inn of Court.

Greg Gillett (on campus Tuesday, Oct. 29)

Greg Gillett, a native of California's Central Valley, returned to his hometown to practice law in the boutique law office he founded after he graduated from the University of California Davis School of Law. His practice focuses on children and families, and includes family, education, juvenile and immigration law. Dr. Gillett has served as a school board member, the president of the nation’s oldest Latino credit union, and as a member of several service organizations. As a visiting professor at a regional law school, he developed and directed free legal clinics that served several hundred low-income clients per year throughout the greater Fresno area. Dr. Gillett also received a Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education.

Susan Crotteau (on campus Wednesday, Oct. 30)

Susan Crotteau, a graduate of the Colorado College and the University of Nebraska College of Law, serves as Assistant Vice President and Corporate Secretary at the University of Nebraska Foundation. In her role, she manages the activities of the foundation’s trustees, board of directors and the board’s standing committees and subcommittees. She also provides consultation on legal and management issues. Ms. Crotteau joined the University of Nebraska Foundation in 2003 as Assistant Legal Counsel after twelve years in private practice with Kutak Rock and Brashear & Ginn in Omaha, Nebraska.
