Reminder: IMPORTANT CAUTION FOR ALL WINDOWS 8 & OSX USERS! DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEMS UNTIL AFTER FINALS
In the next few weeks Windows 8 will be updated to 8.1, and Apple's OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) will be updated to 10.9 (Mavericks). These updates will, no doubt be wonderful, delightful and confusing in many ways. There is a major problem with upgrading this fall: Your system will not be compatible with the Exam4 software. The company is working on new versions of Exam4 but won't have it ready for release until January, so please resist the urge to update until after finals.

Study Aids: Nutshells, Hornbooks, etc.
Don’t forget to “check out” the study aids behind the reference desk. Nutshells, hornbooks and other study aids can be checked out for one week.

CopyClip.
If you do substantial amounts of writing in which you “cut and paste” from one document to multiple documents, CopyClip is an ingenious and clever new utility that will change your life. And it’s free! CopyClip stores the last 50 (by default, but can be changed to store many more) “copy” commands that ordinarily are stored one at a time on your clipboard so that you can easily go back and use those same clipboard items for later use. Find the application here, or visit the developer’s website at http://FlipLab.com/
