Welcome back from spring break! I hope you had time to relax, study, and get ready for the homestretch of the semester, and the real homestretch for the class of 2014! We still have a lot going on in the next month, including some career services programming, and registration for Fall classes. There are several opportunities in the next couple of weeks to learn more about upper level courses, areas of concentrated study, externships, etc., and to get some advice about planning your courses for the next year.
Another important upcoming event is Admitted Students Day on Friday, April 4th, when we will have a building full of students admitted to Nebraska Law for next Fall.

Over the spring break, second-year students Katie Joseph and Rick Tast won the National Client Counseling Competition in Norman, Oklahoma! We are so proud of them and they continue a longstanding Nebraska tradition of success in this particular competition, all under the wonderful guidance of Professors Alan Frank and Craig Lawson. So congratulate them and pat them on the back if you see them (well, don’t do that, it might be a battery), and wish them luck in Puerto Rico in April at the International Competition.

Graduation for the class of 2014 is on Saturday, May 10th at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts at 3 pm. It is open to the whole law school community so please feel free to attend. The commencement speaker this year is Terri Minatra, the General Counsel of National Public Radio.

Happy Spring!
