1L Courses

You have now learned all about FLS and International Perspectives, but those are not the only classes you will be taking. The remainder of your 1L class line up will look like this:

Fall Semester (18 credit hours)
Contracts – 3 hours
Civil Procedure – 3 hours
Property – 3 hours
Torts – 4 hours
Criminal Law – 3 hours
FLS – 2 hours

Spring Semester (15 credit hours)
Contracts – 3 hours
Civil Procedure – 3 hours
Property – 3 hours
FLS – 4 hours
International Perspectives – 2 hours

You will have more flexibility in picking your courses, class times and professors for your 2L and 3L year. After successful completion of all the 1L courses, the only remaining required courses for graduation are Constitutional Law I (taken during the Fall of your 2L year); Legal Profession (professional responsibility/ethics); a professional skills course (anything from Trial Advocacy to Mediation to participation in one of our Clinics); and a seminar (a topic specific intensive research and writing course). The remainder of your 2L and 3L coursework is up to you! See the Upperclass Information portion of our website to learn more (http://law.unl.edu/upperclass-students).
