Alumnus Jeff Curtiss currently serves on the Board of KBR, Inc. (a large construction company that is publicly owned) and on its Nominating & Governance Committee and as Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Curtiss will speak informally on governance related topics. KBR recently had 4 directors leave and has elected 4 new directors (out of a total of 9)so will describe how that process worked. He will also discuss what audit committees do and how they interact with management, the external auditors, the internal audit staff, the PCAOB and sometimes the SEC.
