Nebraska Rural Practice Initiative

If you missed the Rural Practice Initiative lunch, you may not have heard about the opportunity to participate in the Rural Practice Bus Tour or the opportunity to include your resume on the Rural Practice Resume Books on the NSBA website.

BUS TOUR
The tour is free of charge to interested students who are open to learning more about rural Nebraska opportutnies. Both Creighton and Nebraska Law students will be participating this year on a trip that takes you first to Chadron and then to Scottsbluff. RURAL PRACTICE RESUME BOOKS

Did you know that there are 11 counties in Nebraska without a single attorney? The Nebraska State Bar Association wants to help bring law students, law graduates and rural practitioners together to help fill some of the need. There are jobs and good livings to be made in many of the rural communities in Nebraska. Many attorneys do not want to post for jobs but would be open to looking through resumes of interested students..

If you are interested in having your resume included on the NSBA website as someone open to greater Nebraska opportunities, upload your resume in ROSCOE. The resume books will be made available to all members of the Nebraska State Bar Association in the Rural Practice Initiative section. The books are password protected and not accessible by the general public.

The 2L and 3L books will be forwarded to the NSBA on Monday, October 5. If you have questions, feel free to email lawcareer@unl.edu
