Peace and Quiet?
The library strives to provide a quiet, comfortable environment for students to study and work. It’s easy for us to keep our voices down, but we need your help in order to keep the whole library quiet and peaceful. Please help us out and politely ask others to join in. Be mindful that you’re in the library especially prior to and after classes held in the library seminar room 131, also known as the Union Bank Room.

No Meal Deliveries in the Library!
Please remember that the library’s food and drink policy allows snacks in the library, but not meals. Please take your meals in the student lounge or outside in the courtyard tables. Help us keep the library clean and neat for everyone.

New Resource of the DECADE! CIS Microfiche
Few at the law college are aware of our library’s bizarre collection anomaly: We own the premier index to Congressional documents, the CIS Index. Few know that that the index is actually an index to an enormous collection (several tens of thousands of sheets) of microfiche that the Schmid Law Library (for unknown reasons) does not have a subscription for. But the times, they are a changing’!

Through the generosity of University of Nebraska Omaha Library and the extraordinary coordination efforts of Joni Ringdahl, Emily Nimsakont and Stefanie Pearlman we will receive virtually a complete set of the CIS Microfiche, most likely on Wednesday, March 9. We all know that no-one wants to use fiche, but you will be glad that we have access to it when you need a federal government document! Please thank Stefanie, Emily and Joni when you see them.
