4. It is a great way to build your research and writing skills.
5. You get to know a professor outside of class.
6. You can earn a great letter of recommendation.
7. You can learn about substantive areas of the law from national experts.
Watch ROSCOE for job posts from specific faculty members about their research assistant needs. Additionally, the CSO is putting together "a bank" of resumes of those students interested in pursuing a faculty research position. Sometimes the needs of faculty members are very sudden and with a bank of resumes on hand we will be able to immediately provide the professor with a resume book of those who are interested in being hired.
To indicate your general interest in being considered for a faculty research position and be a part of this "bank" of candidates, please apply to the "Research Assistant" position currently posted in ROSCOE (Dean Everman is listed as the contact person). You will need to upload a current resume and transcript and use the notes section to indicate the number of hours you anticipate being available each week.
