Timothy Rooney is a Staff Attorney for the Office of Enrollment and Discipline at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. His duties include investigating grievances alleging misconduct by practitioners, evaluating applications for registration to practice before the USPTO in patent matters, and assisting with outreach to USPTO stakeholders. Prior to joining the USPTO, he practiced patent law matters, and assisting with outreach to USPTO stakeholders. Prior to joining the USPTO, he practiced patent law at an Am Law top 100 firm. Mr. Rooney received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
Mr. Rooney is conducting a site visit of the Weibling Entrepreneurship Clinic as part of its participation in the USPTO Law Clinic Certification Program for Trademark. He will be available to discuss employment opportunities and career paths at the USPTO and other topics of interest to students at Nebraska Law.
