UNL Libraries subscribes to hundreds of library databases, ensuring access to scholarly resources critical to researchers in every discipline, including in the social and behavioral sciences. In this informal session, librarian Erica DeFrain will offer a working definition of scholarly databases, share a criteria for database selection, provide a brief orientation to some of the most frequently used social sciences databases (APA PsycINFO, ERIC, Scopus, Google Scholar, and perhaps a few others), and answer any questions participants might have. Intended audience: Erica DeFrain is the liaison librarian for the departments of Educational Administration, Educational Psychology, Psychology, and Sociology. As such, this workshop will be most suitable to students and researchers in those areas.
