Janel Simons began her position as Humanities Librarian and assistant professor of practice in the University Libraries on August 1. Her focus is on teaching and working with faculty and students in Humanities departments and program areas to support their research.
Simons is eager to start meeting and connecting with various faculty in the Libraries, humanities departments, and affiliated programs to learn about their research and explore how the Libraries’ can be involved in that work from a teaching and learning perspective.
Simons brings to this position her previous experience as Instruction Specialist for the Libraries and the role she held working on various interdisciplinary projects in the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities.
