The Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Institute of Excellence is a leadership development program designed by Nebraska Extension for county officials, as they look to grow their leadership capacities in the roles they serve. Topics explored will include leading with empathy, Nebraska population trends, leadership transition, GallupStrengths, as well as networking with peers from across the state. Registration is open to county elected officials and staff and others interested in local government leadership.
The County Official Online Learning Network, COOL Network is a series of three-week courses designed for county officials as they explore the underpinnings of county governments systems. The courses, facilitated by Nebraska Extension, bring together professors from across the University of Nebraska system to introduce concepts and practice, and complimented with insights from county government professionals. The first series starts February 8, with topics including the roles and structures of county government, government finance and leadership. To enroll, https://nacone.org/registration.
