One avenue to share innovations from your department as well as borrow ideas from others is the Build a Better Mousetrap program. Nebraska LTAP accepts BBM nominations year-round.

The 2023 Nebraska winner, recently recognized at the Local Roads Conference in Sioux Falls, SD, was from the City of Hastings Street Department. City staff repurposed a chassis into a hotbox asphalt trailer with hydraulic features to make filling potholes less strenuous on employees. Congratulations!
