Plan now to participate in the 2025 Nebraska Winter Maintenance Workshop! The event will be at Central Community College - Hastings on June 23-25. Mike Coffee, retired from the Alaska DOT, will be a featured speaker sponsored by Envirotech.
Monday, June 23 will be a set-up day for event leaders and a youth career exploratory day. Youth interested in the career day including time on equipment simulators, time on equipment obstacle courses, and opportunities to learn about careers in public works can register now at https://go.unl.edu/heavyequipment. Tuesday, June 24 will feature competitions for operators from counties and municipalities on loader, mini excavator, motor grader, skid steer, and truck plow (team event).
Wednesday, June 25 will have presentations for equipment operators and will conclude with the awards luncheon.
Registration is by agency via a spreadsheet.
With sponsorship from the Nebraska APWA Chapter, winners will have the opportunity to compete in a national contest.
