Ngaruiya Family Fund for Undergraduate Research

The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity to be awarded for the Spring 2021 semester. The Ngaruiya (pronounced Gar-ee-ya) Family Fund for Undergraduate Research is open to any undergraduate student with an international background who has demonstrated interest in research in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field. This scholarship is a one-time award to one recipient.

To apply, students must submit the following:
• Biographical information
• A personal statement
• 3 letters of recommendation: one from a mentor and two from non-family members.
• Identification of a faculty member who is willing to involve the applicant in their research in an impactful way
• A defined research project, including a research project plan
