Professor Ricardo Carretero is encouraging students to apply for the Master's programs in Applied Mathematics at San Diego State University. Their programs are particularly valuable for students with a multidisciplinary bent. Graduate students at SDSU have a lot of flexibility in choosing courses in Math, Applied Math, and other departments (Physics, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry for example), and we have an excellent teaching assistant training program.

They take pride in the research opportunities they provide to students, the high quality of their faculty, and the friendly and collegial atmosphere of their department. Graduates of their programs obtain exceptional career opportunities in the high-tech industry in San Diego and elsewhere, or continue in doctoral programs in a variety of fields, in mathematics, engineering and sciences.

The California State University deadline is March 1, and all documents need to be submitted by April 1.
