UNL McNair Scholars Program
The UNL McNair Scholars Program is currently recruiting new scholars to start in the program during the Fall 2021 semester, to engage in the McNair Summer Research Experience in 2022, and to participate in academic year colloquia activities until graduation.
Undergraduate students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply to the UNL McNair Scholars Program:
• Full-time students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who plan to pursue graduate education, with the ultimate goal of earning a Ph.D. (because of Department of Education guidelines, we can no longer serve students interested in professional programs)
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Freshman, sophomore or junior with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or above, and
• Either a first-generation college student with a maximum income level established by the U.S. Department of Education OR a member of a group underrepresented in graduate education

The application deadline is April 1, 2021. Supplemental materials are due April 15 (transcript, two recommendations, personal statement, and financial need form).
