The Polymath REU Program

The goal of the Polymath REU is to provide research opportunities to every undergraduate who wishes to explore advanced mathematics. The program consists of research projects in a variety of mathematical topics. Each project is mentored by an active researcher with experience in undergraduate mentoring. The program takes place June 21-August 15, 2021 online.

Each project consists of 20-30 undergraduates, a main mentor, and additional mentors (usually graduate students). This group works towards solving a research problem and writing a paper. Each participant decides what they wish to obtain from the program and participates accordingly.

The Polymath REU is open to all undergraduates who have had at least one proofs course in mathematics and can obtain a letter of support from a professor in such a course. More details, including how to apply, are on the program website https://geometrynyc.wixsite.com/polymathreu.

The application deadline is April 1!
