2021 Conference of Graduate Research Opportunities for Women

The 2021 Conference of Graduate Research Opportunities for Women (GROW) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) will be held from October 15 to October 17, 2021. The current conference plan is to have a hybrid event, that allows both in-person and remote participation. The GROW 2021 conference is aimed at women and non-binary undergraduate students who may be interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the mathematical sciences. The conference will feature:

• lectures;
• panel discussions about graduate research in the mathematical sciences;
• networking opportunities; and
• advice on preparing applications for graduate school.

The GROW 2021 confirmed plenary speakers include:

• Antonio (Tuca) Auffinger, Northwestern University;
• Yaiza Canzani, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill;
• Niall Mangan, Northwestern University; and
• Brooke Shipley, University of Illinois at Chicago.

The previous GROW conferences were successfully held at the Northwestern University, the University of Michigan, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Chicago.
