Where are you from?
I am from Enterprise, AL.
What gets you excited about Math?
What really gets me excited about math are all the connections. It's just to have a proof explained and see how it logically works.
Favorite math class or instructor so far? Why?
My favorite instructor so far has been Alex Zupan. He is passionate about math and shows this passion through his excellent teaching.
What are you excited about doing after graduation?
Currently I'm pursuing either an actuarial career or a career in data science.
What is a goal you have accomplished as a Husker?
Coming from Alabama, I didn't know anyone here my first year. However, I've been able to find some great friend groups here.
What do you wish you would have known when you started as a Math Major that you know now?
That I have a lot more freedom in my program, and that I don't need to have my entire 4 years planned out as soon as possible.
What do you hope to cross off your “bucket list” in the next few years?
Over the next few years, I'd like to figure out which area of math is most interesting to me, and I'd like to get a nice internship!
