Lessons Learned from 20 Years in Cybersecurity

Register at https://mailchi.mp/b59258c14e84/do5t04z2of and join us in-person or virtually on Tuesday, October 17, to hear Megan Benoit, Sr. Network Security Engineer at NFM, speak about her 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field.

Twenty-three years ago, she began an internship working in security, and while she says a lot of things haven’t changed, her approach to security and working in this profession have definitely evolved over the years.

Megan will talk about things you can do to mitigate security risks, navigate the organizational waters and share ways to help you succeed, and yes, break production without losing your job!

Megan has spent more than 20 years building vulnerability management and incident response programs, architecting and deploying security solutions, and telling management “she’s a security engineer, not a miracle worker”. She has worked for the Department of Defense, as well as in the healthcare and retail industries.

Please register at the above link so we can plan appropriately for food and drinks sponsored by Nebraska Furniture Mart.

The location is the NFM Corporate Office, NOT the retail store. It is off of 74th and Pacific. Head north past Lighthouse Pizza to find the 808 Building.
