Nebraska Alumni Association Scholarships
The Nebraska Alumni Association is proud to honor promising students with two awards and scholarships each year. The following awards are honored annually during the spring semester. Applications for student awards are accepted from January 3rd through February 9th.
Roy and Catherine Yaley Student Leadership Award/Scholarship*
Established in 2004, the Roy and Catherine Yaley Student Leadership Award is named in memory of a former alumni association president and his wife. Given annually, the award recognizes a student who has made a significant contribution of his or her time, talent and leadership to the Nebraska Alumni Association through one of the association's student programs or volunteer work at the association. Eligible students must apply for this award and must attend UNL in the semester following the recognition banquet to be eligible for the scholarship that accompanies the award.
Jack and Sharon Miller Scholarship*
Established in 1987, the Jack Miller Scholarship honors a former executive vice president of the Nebraska Alumni Association, whose leadership and professionalism instituted many innovations, including the establishment of the Student Alumni Association. The scholarship is awarded annually to a member of the Student Alumni Association who has demonstrated leadership in and commitment to the organization. Eligible students must apply for this scholarship*, and must attend UNL in the semester following the recognition banquet to be eligible for the scholarship.

Award and scholarship recipients will be chosen by a selection committee, and winning students will be awarded these honors during the spring semester.
