The Liberty Mutual Insurance Company's Data Science Professional Resource Group is sponsoring a Diversity and Outreach Mentorship Program.

Purpose
Racial bias is a known phenomenon in the Data Science industry, due to unconscious bias, lack of awareness and educational under representation. This program was created to combat this bias within the industry.
Goal
Provide opportunities to under-served individuals to pursue a career in Data Science and diversify Liberty’s Data Science community.
Duration
The program will be 6 months long and mentees and mentors should have a commitment to meet at least once a month.
Structure
DSPRG hosts bimonthly group mentee sessions that may serve as a check in. Mentors and mentees can decide on other meetings depending on the mentee’s goals.
What To Expect
Potential topics that mentors and mentees may cover include interview skills, job shadow opportunities, and goal setting to prepare for full-time and internship opportunities.
