A Night of Music and Mathematics

My name is Natalie McNamara, and I am a math major, music major, and Downey scholar at the University of Nebraska Omaha. I have been working with Dr. Michael Matthews and Dr. Greg Sand at UNO to bring in an incredible speaker in a one-of-a-kind event featuring a distinct fusion of music and mathematics.

It is our pleasure to extend an official invitation to A Night of Music and Mathematics featuring Dr. Eugenia Cheng. Hosted by the UNO Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences and the School of Music, this event will feature the insights and talents of an internationally recognized speaker, author, mathematician, and musician. It will bring together community members from all facets of life in Omaha and beyond: students, educators, researchers, and performers, just to name a few.

The phenomenal teamwork between members of the College of Arts and Sciences, led by Dr. Michael Matthews, and the College of Communication, Fine Arts, and Media, led by Dr. Karen Fannin, has allowed this unique vision of combining two worlds of study to come to fruition. We would be honored to have your presence and your guests at this event.

Thank you,
Natalie McNamara
