April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Learn How to Support Survivors with CARE

Join CARE Monday April 28th at 5:30pm in the Nebraska Union Heritage Room for an important workshop that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to support friends or peers who have experienced sexual and relationship violence. The session will help you understand the impact of trauma, practice active listening, and learn practical strategies for providing meaningful support. By attending, you’ll gain the confidence to respond in a compassionate and effective way when someone turns to you for help. Don’t miss the chance to make a real difference and create a more supportive campus community.

Register for the workshop here!

Open to all UNL students, faculty, and staff. Free food will be provided!

CARE welcomes anyone from the UNL community to attend our programming and events. If you require accommodations or have questions about accessibility, please contact care@unl.edu or call 402-472-3553.

Fostering an environment where survivors feel believed and supported is crucial in addressing and mitigating the impacts of power-based violence.
