Settling In?

Mr. Pellatz
Mr. Pellatz

Now that Labor Day weekend has past, I hope you all have a chance to settle into the Fall 2018 semester. If you are still finding the semester a bumpy ride, just remember that things will settle down. If something comes up that knocks you off course, please don't hesitate to schedule an appointment with me or come see me for a walk-in meeting to discuss it.

Now is the prime time of the fall semester to start figuring out your future plans. Haven't created a 4-year plan yet? Wondering if your on track for a May or August 2019 graduation? This is the perfect time to setup an appointment with me to discuss your next steps with classes.

Planning on graduating in December? The deadline to apply for graduation is Friday, September 28. Missing the application deadline can affect your ability to graduate in December, so this not a deadline that you want to miss. Want to double check that you are on track to graduate, please come see me for a quick walk-in meeting or an appointment. Questions about the Graduation Application? Please visit: https://registrar.unl.edu/student/commencement/application/.

If you are on probation this semester, this also the prime time of the semester to start working on this Academic Recovery To-Do Items and the Academic Recovery Jumpstart. Not quite sure what probation is or how you landed on it? Please come see me and I'll do my best to help you figure things out.

Remember, my job is to help you succeed as a student academically, professionally, and personally, and I can't do that if you don't come see me.

Thanks,
Doug
