Are you interested in working for the Math Department as a Learning Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Grader? The Department of Mathematics is looking to fill a number of positions for the Spring 2019 semester, including learning assistants for our active learning Pre-Calc courses and counselors for our Math Resource Center. We normally don't save applications from previous semesters, so you need to fill out a new application for next semester.

Just as a reminder, the required and recommend qualifications for each position are as follows:

Grader: required: B+ in given course and 3.0 or better GPA; recommended: A- or better in given course and 3.5 or better GPA.

MRC Counselor: required: B+ in Math 107 and 3.0 or better GPA; recommended: A- or better in Math 107 and 3.5 or better GPA.

Learning Assistant: required: B+ in Math 106 with a strong letter of recommendation from the instructor and 3.0 or better GPA; recommended: one 300-level math course and 3.5 or better GPA;

Teaching Assistant: required: one 300-level math course and 3.5 or better GPA; recommended: Math 310 or 325 with an A- or better.
