• With graduation from the university approaching, it’s time to think about your job search process. The College of Arts & Sciences Career Coaches are offering two virtual Crash Course in Job Searching sessions where you’ll learn tips to get you started on your job search and have the opportunity to learn more and ask questions about:
• Resumes, Cover Letters, LinkedIn/Handshake/other online platforms, Networking, Interviewing, and CPT/OPT if you are an international student
• Space is limited to 50 students and registration is required.

Virtual Huskers Abroad 101 Sessions

• Interested in going abroad but don’t know where to start? Attend a Huskers Abroad 101 session to take the first step toward going abroad! This session will cover researching program options, selecting a program, funding and the timeline for the process. Pre-registration is required at: https://go.unl.edu/huskersabroad101. Once registered, a Zoom link will be emailed to you.

UCARE Applications Open November 15th
• The Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience program will begin accepting applications for summer 2021 and academic year 2021-22 on November 15.
• Introduce yourself to undergraduate research opportunities, including UCARE, by watching this short video.
• UCARE is open to students in all majors and disciplines, and participants receive a $2,400 research stipend. Applications will be accepted until February 15 through NuRamp.
• Students with questions about the program and faculty interested in becoming a UCARE faculty mentor can contact Justina Clark at jclark17@unl.edu.

Cargill Global Scholars Program Now Accepting Applications
• The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive, 2-year scholarship and enrichment program providing financial support, mentorship, and the unique opportunity for U.S. college students to participate in leadership development seminars, including engaging with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, and Russia.
• This opportunity is open to students currently enrolled as freshmen or sophomores or a student with a graduation date between May 2023 and August 2024

Save the Date: LSAC Law School Virtual Forum
Saturday, Dec. 12th
• One of the best opportunities to meet with law schools and prepare to apply to law school is by attending the LSAC’s Law School Forum. This forum includes the following activities:
• Meet with representatives from over 200 US, Canadian, and Australian Law Schools
• Participate in workshops designed to help you learn about diversity in law, the LSAC application, the LSAT exam, and other relevant pre-law topics.
• View on-demand workshops about financing a legal education or the LSAT.
