The North Dakota Cloud Modification Project has 2 openings for Radar Meteorologists and 3 internship positions for the upcoming summer.
Two Radar Meteorologists for North Dakota Atmospheric Resource Board
Location: Bowman (1) and Stanley (1), North Dakota
Salary: $3,895/month.
Closing Date: March 28, 2021
Status: Full-time temporary positions
Duration of Job: May 26-28 and June through August
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a Bachelors of Arts or Science in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or Related Field by the start of ground school on May 26, 2021.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with radar operation and short-term forecasting of deep convection; recent experience in operational convective cloud seeding.

Three Intern Meteorologists for North Dakota Atmospheric Resource Board
Location: Bowman(1), and Stanley(2), North Dakota
Salary: $14.94/hour plus time and a half for over 40 hours worked
Closing Date: March 28, 2021
Status: Temporary Seasonal (hours may vary – weather dependent)
Duration of Job: May 26-28 and June through August
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be majors in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science or Related Field. Good communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of meteorological course work, especially courses in radar meteorology, weather modification, cloud physics and forecasting, and computer knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux/Unix-based operating systems and software are also strong qualifying factors.
