Hastings NWS WFO Coming to Visit!
On Monday, May 2nd at 4 pm in the Bessey Hall Auditorium (117 Bessey Hall), Meteorologists from the National Weather Service (NWS) Hasting Weather Forecast Office (WFO) will be visiting campus and hosting a meeting for undergraduate and graduate students to learn about student opportunities with the National Weather Service.
Jerilyn Billings Wright, the Science and Operations Officer (SOO) at Hastings, will be visiting campus along with possibly others from the Hastings WFO like the Meteorologist-in-Charge (MIC) and the Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM). This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about what working at the National Weather Service is like and what kinds of opportunities are available for students, so be sure to mark your calendar and plan to attend this meeting.
