Name: Kamden McGrew
Major: Meteorology-Climatology
Year in School: Junior

Where are you from?

I am from Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

What gets you excited about Meteorology-Climatology?

The challenge of trying to find patterns in systems as large and complex as our atmosphere and determining what those patterns mean for us at the surface.

Favorite Meteorology-Climatology class or instructor so far? Why?

My favorite instructor so far has been Dr. Kopacz as she makes difficult concepts much easier to understand by finding ways to break it down into easier to understand chunks. Also, she tries to make connections with the students so she can help us better.

What are you excited about doing after graduation?

I am excited to get out into the work force and find a job as a forecast meteorologist hopefully somewhere in the Midwest.

What is a goal you have accomplished as a Husker?

I wanted to get involved with clubs and activities which I have done with clubs such as AMS and doing various intramural sports.

What do you wish you would have known when you started as a Meteorology-Climatology Major that you know now?

I wish I would have known how much computer programming is involved so that I could've kept some of my coding skills sharp in preparation.

What do you hope to cross off your “bucket list” in the next few years?

I would really like to attend a Colorado Avalanche game.
