For students who want to assess and describe the effects of climate variability and extreme climate events on human activities and natural resources management, and how human activities impact climate.

» Outcome one: recognize how climate impacts differ between countries and how societies prepare for and respond to these events.
» Outcome two: comprehend the basic science of climate change and the complexity of potential impacts on economic sectors and the environment.
» Outcome three: understand risk assessment methodologies employed by stakeholders to reduce the impacts of extreme climate events.
