UNL Meteorology-Climatology

Hello Meteorology-Climatology Majors,

I hope you are doing well as we work through the third week of the Fall 2024 semester. As a reminder to all first semester students and students on Academic Warning, please start scheduling meetings with me to discuss how things have started for you to this fall. I am truly interested in seeing you start your Fall 2024 semester well!

Next week, the University will host a series of Career + Internships Fairs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The goal of these events is to introduce you to companies and organizations that could have job and internship opportunities for you now or in the future. The people attending these events will explain what their company or organization does and why you should be interested in working with them. If they have job and internship opportunities available now, for the spring, or for next summer, they will be promoting them as well.

There are many companies and organizations that are going to be interested in hiring Meteorology-Climatology majors, so there could be opportunities at all four days of Career + Internship Fairs. Thus, I would encourage you to attend as many of the fairs at you have time for, but I can certainly understand wanting to prioritize your attendance based on your interests. Here is some additional information about the focus of each Career + Internship Fair Day:

University Career + Internship Fairs - Day 4

I know that this is a lot of information to digest, but we have wonderful Career Coaches in the College of Arts and Sciences who can help! Please consider meeting them soon or after the Career + Internship Fairs to help with all of your career development needs! I would also be glad to help if you have questions.
