HELPFUL HIGHLIGHT
Each newsletter I will be sharing tips, campus resources, and skills that can help you personally, academically, and professionally.
This week’s highlight is how to schedule a meeting with me!
You can schedule a meeting with me through MyPLAN. Don’t know how to get there? You can log in through my.unl.edu and clicking on MyPLAN or you log in through Canvas. Once you get there, there is an icon in the top left corner. Click on that and then click on “My Success Network.” I will be listed right there at the top of the page! When you schedule a meeting with me, make sure to let me know what you’d like to talk about in the space provided so I can be prepared. It helps when you prepare for our meetings too! If you want to talk about courses and graduation plans, take ownership of your education by creating a plan in advance for us to go over together.
Scheduling a meeting with me is especially important as you are preparing for priority registration—don’t wait until the last minute to schedule! Why is it important to meet with me? For one, I can help you stay on track to graduate and make sure you complete all your required courses. I can also connect you with resources, help you navigate college, offer a nonjudgmental space, and be an advocate. I am here for you.
If you have additional majors/minors, it’s important for you to check in with the advisors of those programs as well!
If you are having trouble figuring out how to schedule a meeting with me, email me at swebb7@unl.edu and I can help.

ADVISING UPDATE
A helpful tip ahead of registration: Pay attention to the mode of instruction of the courses you’re enrolling in! There will be a few options, like Online (online, asynchronous), Web Conferencing (online, synchronous), and In-Person. If you enroll in an in-person, you are expected to be physically present unless you are in quarantine or have extenuating circumstances. These courses will not be as flexible as courses this semester in allowing you to attend class via Zoom.
